How it works
Six steps. One team. About seven weeks.
You will always know what happens next, who is doing it, and when.
- 1
Day 1-3
Free home assessment
A design specialist reviews your roof with satellite imagery and your last 12 bills, then confirms on-site if needed. No pressure, no pushy follow-up.
- 2
Week 1
Design and fixed quote
You get a 3D layout, expected output by month, and one fixed price. What we quote is what you pay, including permit fees and any panel upgrade.
- 3
Weeks 2-5
Permits and utility approval
We file the building permit, HOA notice and interconnection application. Most Portland-area jobs clear in 2-4 weeks.
- 4
Install day
Installation
A crew of four installs the racking, panels, inverters and battery. Typical home: one to two days, and we leave the roof cleaner than we found it.
- 5
Weeks 6-8
Inspection and switch-on
The city inspects, the utility grants permission to operate, and we power up together. You get a walkthrough of the app before we leave.
- 6
Every day
Monitoring and care
We watch every panel. If output dips we call you first. A free health check each year for five years is included.
Our own crews handle every install. We do not subcontract the roof work.
Before you ask
It converts your monthly bill into annual kilowatt-hours at $0.17 per kWh, sizes an array to cover about 95 percent of that, and limits it to what your roof can hold at roughly 55 sq ft per kW. Output per kW depends on sun exposure. Your written quote replaces these estimates with a design specific to your roof.
You stay connected to the grid, so the lights never go off. Excess power in the day is sent to the grid for a credit, and with a battery you use it after sunset instead.
No. We use flashed mounts that seal every roof penetration, and our workmanship warranty covers leaks for 25 years. If your roof needs work first, we say so and quote it separately.
Panels carry a 25-year performance warranty guaranteeing at least 86 percent of original output. Batteries are warranted for 10 years or 37 MWh of throughput.
The federal residential clean energy credit lets you deduct 30 percent of system cost, including battery storage, from your federal tax liability. Talk to your tax adviser about your own situation. Oregon incentives may add to this and we handle those forms.
Yes, with a battery. The Home and Estate packages switch to backup in under a second and can carry the fridge, lights, internet and well pump for a day or longer.
Yes. We install from 30 kW rooftop systems to multi-megawatt solar farms, with depreciation and financing support for businesses and farms.
Your roof is already getting paid in sunlight. Let's collect.
